If there is one quote that captured the ethos of being human, this is it. I love expertise and the nuances of deep understanding of all areas and subjects but there is more to being human isn't it?
A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects. - Robert A. Heinlein
Every being in this existence is striving to rise to its highest potential. I’m also one of them and my path is design.
That is me in an image!
Isn't it easy to get a glimpse of 40 years of life in less than 40 circles? That is the power of design. Cognition, Human Behaviours, Semiotics, Research Methods, User Experience, Business Design, Value Proposition, Information Architecture, Interaction Design and Thinking Patterns are some areas I dabble with everyday. Life is magical and i am at awe every moment ❣️
I am fascinated by human nature and human system. I like to go deeper and well beyond what is visible to the naked eye. I like the core and fringes of all things life. Design allows me to stay in the midst of that beauty. I express my thoughts using verbals, visuals and voice. You will get a dash of me in all forms here!
I believe life is composite in nature and hence we must pay attention to all the elements that make up the composition. Here is my view of the elements. In my experience I have seen that all elements are mandatory for human wellbeing. Life is full of narratives and anecdotes. The stories make it special. I will share all my stories here.
The Pareto of a knowledge worker is career. Here is my career dashboard as a snapshot.
Sometimes I feel Malcolm Gladwell is wrong. Even after 70K hours of Design, I still feel i don't know much about product design and product management. I can't say it for sure that this is mastery as there is so much more to learn. As a result of dabbling for so long, I can say this much that I can use design and solve any problem in any domain with confidence.
My career timeline looks like this. It is interesting that every 7 years i changed course but still kept design as my anchor. I started my career technology, fell in love with human computer interaction and from there I moved on with strategic side of design and product making. Slowly the bug of efficiency aka entrepreneurship bit me. It is been 8 years. I am not looking back.
Had the privilege and honour to work with some of the smartest minds and smartest brands of the world. Had an opportunity to get a sneak peak of various domains out there. I couldn't have asked for a better career. 70000 hrs well spent and counting....
Currently I am building Xperian, an ecosystem of makers.
Purpose of Xperian is to elevate a maker/builder/hustler/producteer/designer/whatever so that bar of making rises, as a result we produce awesome products and services that makes our life better on this planet. This is my way of changing the world and putting a scratch in the universe. Below is my back of the napkin picture of Xperian. All things makers, making, make in one place. Bored of solving problems one-by-one. The idea is to directly and indirectly raise the bar of problem solving. I am aware that this is a hard proposition but hey, what is the fun if it is not challenging and keeping me awake at night? That is how dreams must be ins't it?
For many career is one part of their life. For me design has been a liberating path. It showed me what is flow, what is commitment, what is hardship, what is magic and what is life. Design is my IKIGAI if i can use that concept here.
I measure my success by how alive and kicking i am every day. I prioritise my joy and happiness over all other parameters. It is a short life anyways. Even if i live 100 years it is only 36500 days. Out of which I am left with only 20000+ days. Let me make this life count and let me add value to my fellow human beings and leave this earth with zero footprints.

If you need to contact me for any reason(events/consulting/advisory/office hours/whatever) you can write to me here. I suck with emails but have a policy to respond within 48 hours. Sometimes my mails do go to spam as it has XYZ in it so do check your spam folder before you judge me for being non-responsive 🙈 A better way to contact me is via Social DMs (Twitter/LinkedIn).
